Council News 6th October 2009PUBLIC NOTICEMembers of the public are advised that the official opening of the Millthorpe Skatepark shall occur from 10am on Saturday 10th October 2009 at Redmond Oval, Millthorpe. In the interests of local residents and public safety, parking will be restricted along Boomerang Street, and visitors are requested to park on the Park Street side of Redmond Oval. BUSHFIRE DANGER PERIOD COMMENCES 1st NOVEMBER 2009From 1st November any person wishing to light a fire in Blayney, Cabonne, Cowra and Orange Local Government areas will require a permit.
Permits to burn will not be required in Canobolas Zone until the 1st November 2009. Any alterations required to this timing due to deteriorating conditions will be communicated to the public if and when required.
BLAYNEY COMMUNITY MARKETS
Blayney Shire Council is pleased to announce the re-launch of the Blayney Community Markets. Held at Heritage Park on the 29th of November 2009, the markets are targeting the sale of non commercial goods, with an emphasis on hand made market products, natural organic produce and art and craft.
The markets are being promoted as an opportunity for local artists, producers and craft persons from the surrounding districts to display and sell their wares.
