General Manager - Published: 18 Aug 2008
Blayney Shire Council has an outstanding record of innovation and performance and is recognised for the standard and diversity of its facilities. Readily adjacent to the prominent regional centres of Bathurst and Orange, the Council has been promoted as a model for local authorities both in New South Wales and nationally.

The new General Manager can be expected to find an enthusiatic workplace and community and will assume control of the strong governance principles, resources and assets that have been developed. The ability to communicate, to be desisive, to have a visionary approach and to respond to opportunities and aspirations will be important qualities for preferred consideration.

This position represents a stimulating local government challenge in a Council and community working in harmony and apart from appropriate qualifications, applications should market individual skills and attributes. Blayney has a strong partnership with Industrial ventures such as the mining industry and the position represents an ideal career option for ambitious and discerning candidates. more ..
