Light the Night
This is the Leukaemia Foundation’s night to remember, celebrate and give hope to Australians impacted by leukaemias, lymphomas, myeloma and related blood disorders. This Spring, thousands of families, friends and co-workers will gather at 21 Light the Night events across Australia. Each person will receive a coloured balloon containing a tiny light:
· Gold balloons to REMEMBER loved ones lost
· White balloons to CELEBRATE blood cancer survivors
· Blue balloons to GIVE HOPE and show support
At twilight, inspirational stories are shared and each person lights their balloon before taking a gentle scenic walk to Light the Night. In the weeks leading up to the event, participants raise money to fund the Leukaemia Foundation’s Vision to Cure and Mission to Care.
Money raised will fund the Leukaemia Foundation’s Vision to Cure and Mission to Care for the 10,000 Australians whose lives will be changed by a blood cancer diagnosis this year. Dedicated to improving the quality of life for patients and their families here and now, the Leukaemia Foundation also gives hope for a brighter future by funding the work of Australia’s best researchers.
Join us this September and be seen in a good light. For more information or to register and participate, or volunteer on the night, please go to www.lightthenight.org.au or call 1800 500 088 today.
