Blayney Public School Sesqui-Centenary

On the 23rd August 2008, Blayney Public School reaches an important milestone in the history of Public Education in Blayney by celebrating its Sesqui-centenary. This is a wonderful acheivement for the school and the community as a whole. The celebrations will be held over the weekend of 23rd /24th August. Many exciting events have been organised to celebrate this momentous occasion and we would like to invite you to be a part of our celebrations.

Friday 22nd August

4:00pm -6:00pm Social Lawn Bowls

Blayney Bowling Club. Nominations to be made on the day. Teams or single players may nominate.

6:30pm -7:30pm "Meet and Greet" Ice Breaker

Blayney Bowling Club. Cost $8.00 per head. This is an excellent opportunity to catch up with one another

  

Saturday 23rd August

10:00am-4:00pm Heritage Fete

Blayney Public School Grounds. Wide Variety of stalls available. Entertainment provided by local school and community groups throughout the day. Main Building open to public with displays of memorabilia from your school days. Souvenirs will be available.

1:00pm-2:00pm Official Ceremony

Unveiling of commemorative plaque by official guests. Book Launch: "Celebrating 150 years - A Pictorial history of Blayney Public School" written by Sandra Retallack with Desktop Publishing by Kim Cheney. Sealing of Time Capsule.

7:00pm-11:00pm Sesqui-Centenary Dinner

Blayney Community Centre. Cost $40.00 per head. Guest speakers and Power Point Presentations. Smart Casual Dress. Bookings Essential.

  

Sunday 24th August

10.00am-11:00am Ecumenical Church Service

Blayney  Public School Hall, followed by complimentary morning tea.

12:00 - 2:00pm Picnic Lunch: BYO Lunch - Carrington Park

Alternative venue Blayney Community Centre in case of inclement weather
